Permanent Radiology Assistant – Full Time (Part Time Considered)

We are delighted to offer an exciting opportunity to join our friendly and dynamicRadiology Departmentas part of a supportivemulti-disciplinary team. This role is ideal for someone looking to develop new skills and take the first step towards a rewarding career inRadiography and Radiology.

You will work acrossmultiple sites, participating in a variety of shifts, includingweekends, gaining valuable experience in a busy clinical environment.

About the role
You will play a vital part in supporting Radiologists and Radiographers with a wide range of radiological procedures, includingUltrasound and CT. There are excellent opportunities forlearning and development, with exposure to other areas of the department as your skills grow.

• To support the work of the Radiology Department across all sites; Wexham Park Hospital (Slough), Heatherwood Elective Centre (Ascot), St Mark’s Hospital (Maidenhead), King Edward VII Hospital (Windsor) and the Slough Community Diagnostic Centre at Upton Hospital.
• To assist radiologists and radiographers in performing a range of Radiological procedures, including Ultrasound, X-ray examinations, MRI and CT.
• To assist in all aspects of patient care within the Radiology department.
• To assist with housekeeping duties i.e., cleaning specialist equipment.
• To input accurate patient data into the Electronic Patient Record (EPIC) and DR/CR system in a timely manner.
• To make up slides of biopsy samples for microscopic examination by Histology/Pathology.
• The post holder will be expected to work at all sites across FHFT North Radiology: Wexham Park Hospital (Slough), Heatherwood Elective Centre (Ascot), St Mark’s (Maidenhead), King Edward VII Hospital (Windsor) and the newly opening Slough CDC at Upton Hospital.
• Commitment to shift work over a 7-day period.
