We are looking for an individual to join the Corporate and Technical Finance Team as a Finance Support Assistant to assist in providing and supporting an efficient and effective accounting service.

About the Role

  • To provide support to the finance function in the provision of financial information to both internal and external customers, including the maintenance of accounting records, provision of reports and management information and preparation of statutory returns.
  • To undertake reconciliations of finance information from various sources, e.g. Oracle Fusion, Other financial systems, Bank Accounts, Claims etc
  • Entering & Maintaining Financial Information:

    -Entering expenditure journals into the general ledger.

    -Maintenance of the financial information system.

    -Supporting manager self-service.

    -Production of scheduled & ad-hoc reports & information.

  • To manage and resolve customer queries in a timely and accurate manner.

This is a junior post within the finance team, with great opportunities for future progression. The successful candidate will be rotated round similar roles to gain a broad range of knowledge and skills with an opportunity to study for the AAT accounting qualification.

About You

To apply for this post, you must:

  • Have an NVQ Level 2 qualification in a relevant area or relevant experience of working in a computer based financial background.
  • Experience in dealing with queries and correspondence.
  • Experience of working with a computerised financial system
  • Ability to take responsibility for organising own work to achieve objectives in order of priority and demonstrate a flexible approach to meet changing demands.

You must also have an understanding of, and commitment to, equality, diversity and inclusion.
