Summary
The role works as part of the team and is accountable for the delivery of patient care under the leadership of the nuclear medicine technologists.
· To be responsible for all aspects of patient care during their stay including the welcoming the patients, explaining the procedures IV cannulation and injection.
· To support the nuclear medicine technologists to monitor the safety and quality of care for patients ensuring it delivers the best clinical outcomes and patient experience.
· To be designated by the Trust as an operator under the Ionising Radiation (Medical Exposure) Regulations. (IR(ME)R)
· To act as an effective role model and mentor to colleagues, promoting excellence through practice.
· To provide cross cover of skills, when required, within the therapy service.
