Summary
Sense has an exciting opportunity, as we're currently recruiting for an Area Manager to join our successful Retail team!
This is a permanent position, working 37.5 hours per week, including frequent travel to our shops in West Midlands, Worcestershire/Herefordshire and North Wales. The general working pattern for this role is four days per week visiting shops or attending meetings, one day per week working from home.
In this role you will be responsible for managing, supporting and developing our retail presence within the South Wales and areas. The role will focus on the maximisation of sales and profit of Sense shops within theses areas by developing new and existing shops and donation stations with the area.
Each year, over four million people buy items from us, so our shops play a pivotal role in raising funds to make a difference to those who find it difficult to communicate and connect with the world.
As our Area Manager, you will line manage Shop Managers, Assistant Shop Managers and Shop Assistants. You will lead in the effective generation and control of stock within the area to ensure each shop achieves its full sales potential.
As you will be visiting our shops across the locality, you will be provided with a company car and fuel card, with all business mileage covered. For this reason you must hold a full UK drivers license.
To be successful in this role you will have strong retail capability and leadership behaviours, including:
Great communication, coaching and influencing skills
Strong commercial acumen, merchandising and product knowledge
Ability to interpret and utilise data to inform and make decisions
Strong collaboration and support ethos
Proven track record within a multi-site role
Desire to learn and develop
Please note this post will require flexibility including the ability to work unsociable hours including weekends and evenings.
