Summary

Role overview

As the Finance Manager for our Build to Rent business, you’ll find yourself working with a team of talented people who are
committed to driving financial improvement, scalability, and customer experience. As part of the urbanbubble finance team, the
role will be varied and challenging, supporting a large (and growing) property management business.




You will be required to manage the BTR Finance Team ensuring that all finance tasks are undertaken according to internal and
industry standard timescales and expectations. You will be a natural problem solver who will support not only the Finance Team but
the business as a whole.

What will you do?

* Be responsible for the day-to-day finance support of the build-to-rent business.
* Produce monthly client statements and reporting – including analysis of budget vs actuals
* Produce KPI reports for stakeholders in the BTR and Finance teams.
* Monitor cash flow and site funding requests
* Support with budget preparation / review
* Balance sheet reviews
* Ensure the accuracy of monthly rent rolls
* Provide timely and accurate financial reporting to the ELT/SMT and financial modelling to the internal team as and when
required.
* Be responsible for set up of all financial aspects of new properties on Yardi.
* Be responsible for overall levels of debt across the portfolio
* You will be the software system Champion, with the ability to train the team on all aspects of the finance processes
* Ensure the team operate with a clear set of processes and procedures with inbuilt measures of quality and control – with the
ability to make this visible to the business.
* Promote peak performance through effective people management, embracing the one-to-one and review process
* Ensure effective two-way communication, promoting a truly motivated team with positive staff engagement
* Identify and meet individual and departmental learning needs, acting as coach and mentor




What are we looking for?

Essential:

* Previous experience managing a Finance Team
* Experience in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of accounting records of designated portfolios, preferably within the
property sector or something of a similar nature.
* Qualified CIMA, ACCA, AAT or qualified by experience.
* Experience supporting stakeholders with budget preparation/budget review
* Experience managing credit control
* Excellent People Management Skills
* Excellent attention to detail and strong organisation skills.
* Great communication skills, particularly in terms of presenting financial information to non-finance people, both verbally and
in writing.
* Able to work on own initiative and manage own workload to strict deadlines
* Analytical with good attention to detail and numeracy skills
* Strong IT skills, with particular competence in spreadsheets/Excel (advanced) and finance systems
* Engaging, possessing good stakeholder management skills
* Flexible and adaptable with the ability to prioritise a busy workload




Desirable:

* Knowledge of Yardi
* Understanding of the Build to Rent sector
