We’re looking for an outstanding Senior Interaction Designer, who wants to contribute to exciting digital services for the UK Government.
Our work is integral, you will help design and build automated test solutions that enable the department to deliver quality services consistently that meet the needs of our agents, colleagues and claimants.
You will need excellent attention to detail, a commitment to quality, a belief in the benefits of faster feedback and the ability to make decisions to manage well assured services.
You will collaborate with others, actively seek input from colleagues and value a multi-disciplinary team over hierarchy.
Successful candidates will work either within the Digital Modernisation & Efficiency (DME) team to support the delivery of accessible user centred designed services to both citizen and DWP colleagues, or our Health and Disability team.
As a Senior Interaction Designer, you will;
- demonstrate best practice in user centred design, for digital and non-digital interactions
- work effectively across multidisciplinary teams, adapting quickly to change
- champion accessibility and inclusion, considering the impact of new technologies
- collaborate with designers in other teams, give constructive feedback on other’s work and contribute to developing design patterns
- use research and analytics to understand user needs and identify opportunities
- create prototypes using appropriate tools and methodologies, advising others on prototyping best practice
- lead and coordinate design work, supporting other designers where necessary actively support the design community in DWP and across government
Please note: As part of the role, you may be required to travel regularly to the other digital hubs. The frequency of this will be discussed further should you be successful.
