Dominion Gaming Store in Ayr is seeking a versatile Gaming Store Specialist to join our inclusive, premium gaming venue. This is your opportunity to turn your passion into a career!
What You'll Do
Share Your Gaming Passion (35%)
Provide expert knowledge across TCG, tabletop, and RPG games
Deliver personalised recommendations and product demonstrations
Lead "Learn to Play" workshops and starter sessions for new players
Drive sales through exceptional customer engagement
Build lasting relationships that keep customers coming back
Bring Events to Life (15%)
Execute weekly events and monthly tournaments
Manage our immersive D&D room bookings and themed events
Foster our thriving Discord community of 1,100+ members
Create welcoming experiences that players remember
Keep Operations Running Smoothly (35%)
Maintain our extensive gaming inventory and displays
Conduct stock counts and manage incoming orders
Keep our 2,500 sq ft space pristine and organised
Ensure gaming tables, refreshment areas, and event spaces are tournament-ready
Build Our Community (15%)
Engage with customers online and in-store
Promote upcoming events and new releases
Support community initiatives that make Dominion special
What We're Looking For
Must Have:
Extensive knowledge of gaming systems and products
Outstanding customer service skills
Cash handling experience
Ability to teach complex game rules with patience and clarity
Flexibility to work 5 shifts over 7 days (evenings and weekends required)
Basic Microsoft Office skills
Bonus Points:
Retail or customer service experience
Tournament organisation experience
Active in gaming communities
Discord and social media savvy
Teaching or training background
Advanced Microsoft Office skills
