This is a new NIHR supported post which will assist the research portfolio of haemostasis and thrombosis within UCLH. The position is an autonomous specialist working within the multi-disciplinary team delivering our trial portfolio.

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and highly motivated Research within this subspeciality at UCLH. The Research Nurse will provide exceptional specialist nursing care, supported by the medical and nursing team.

The haemostasis and thrombosis team work collaboratively across a number of subspecialist areas and are supported by the research unit, UCL and the specialist coagulation laboratory in the NHS.

The post holder will be supported by the nursing and clinical team within haemostasis and thrombosis and the role is ideal for highly motivated individuals who are keen to develop their career in Clinical Research Nursing/Clinical Trials. The post holders will work in close collaboration with Principal Investigator to ensure compliance with Trust Policy, Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and trial specific protocols.

As a Research Nurse, you will play a key role in the successfully delivery of our clinical studies. You will provide specialist skills and knowledge to coordinate and manage clinical trials and be responsible to provide high-quality research. Your main responsibility will be ensuring the recruitment of patients, completion of trial related activities and reliable data collection as per protocol requirements in accordance with Good Clinical Practice (GCP), Research Governance and local Trust policies for research. You will be required to plan and manage your own workload effectively and demonstrate effective time management and prioritisation. A proactive, flexible and solution orientated approach is essential. The ability to work autonomously but in collaboration with others is essential. Strong communication and organisational skills are also essential. A flexible proactive working approach is a key element to this role.
