Current Salary Scale £111,430 - £148,064 depending on experience
(includes Distant Islands Allowance if relocating to Shetland)
If relocation to Shetland Relocation allowance of up to £8,000 is available
We’re looking for experienced Consultants in the following roles to join our team at NHS Shetland:
• Consultant Physician
• Consultant Surgeon (also potential opportunity for Rural Surgical Fellowship)
• Consultant Anaesthetist
• Consultant Psychiatrist as well as Consultant Psychiatrist (with Clinical director Role)

This is your chance to take on meaningful clinical responsibility, delivering high quality patient-centred care and innovation in our 55-bed hospital serving a population of 23,000 across 15 inhabited islands.
You’ll work at the heart of a tight-knit, adaptable clinical team where your input is valued and your impact is visible. We work closely with colleagues in NHS Grampian and Scotland’s emergency retrieval services to ensure patients get the care they need—no matter the geography.
