Role Purpose:
We are looking for a caring, enthusiastic, and reliable Apprentice Childcare Practitioner to join our after-school team at Trinity Kidz Club. This role is ideal for someone under 25 who is passionate about working with children and is willing to work towards an SVQ qualification while gaining hands-on experience in a supportive setting.
Key Responsibilities:
Support the day-to-day running of the after-school club
Assist in creating a safe, fun, and inclusive environment for children
Supervise children during play, activities, snack time, and outings
Collect children from local schools safely and on time
Ensure children’s wellbeing, safety, and individual needs are met
Follow safeguarding, health & safety, and care standards at all times
Build positive relationships with children, parents, carers, and staff
Support children with routines, behaviour, and social development
Work towards and complete required SVQ coursework and training
Essential Requirements:
Aged under 25 (apprenticeship criteria)
Full UK driving licence
Access to own car and willing to use it for school pick-ups
Willingness to work towards an SVQ in Childcare
Genuine interest in working with children
Reliable, punctual, and responsible
Good communication skills
Ability to work as part of a team
Desirable (but not essential):
Experience working with children (paid or voluntary)
Basic knowledge of childcare or early learning
First Aid or willingness to complete training
