We have an opening for a Food & Beverage Assistant Manager at Trengwainton Garden & Godolphin. As the properties are in rural settings with limited public transport, applicants should carefully consider how they would travel to and from work.

What you'll be doing
As Food & Beverage Assistant Manager at Trengwainton Garden & Godolphin, you’ll work in close partnership with the Food & Beverage Manager to support the smooth running of the entire operation. You’ll play a key role in maintaining consistently high standards across the team, the outlets, and the food and drink we prepare and serve, ensuring every visitor experience reflects the quality and character of the property.

You’ll bring a proactive mindset, continually identifying opportunities to improve service, refine standards, and enhance the overall visitor journey, while respecting what already makes West Cornwall successful.

You’ll work alongside the Food & Beverage Manager to create a positive and inclusive place to work, supporting recruitment, training, and ongoing development. You’ll give people the confidence, structure, and clarity they need to perform at their best and genuinely enjoy working here.

You will be an active member of the property leadership team and carry out duty management shifts on a rota basis.

Alongside this, you’ll be someone who wants to help grow the business, bringing ideas, spotting opportunities to improve service and increase income, and contributing to the ongoing development of the offer. You’ll also ensure the team operates fully in line with all relevant legislation and National Trust policies.

You’ll contribute to achieving financial targets, supporting income growth and profitability through effective resource control, thoughtful commercial decisions, and consistently excellent customer service.

You’ll receive a structured induction tailored to the role, alongside training in allergens and food safety, plus mentoring to support your development. There will also be opportunities to access further professional training and development, enabling you to grow in the role and contribute new and innovative ideas that help drive the business forward.
