Summary
Cambridge American Cemetery is the only World War II American Cemetery in the United Kingdom, we are part of the American Battle Monuments Commission, and we are seeking two Seasonal Gardeners to supplement our full-time grounds keeping team for approximately six months beginning April 2026. This rewarding and significant role is to keep the cemetery to a very high standard for our visitor experience.
You will work under the supervision of either the Technical and Operations Manager or the Senior Gardener.
Grounds Maintenance experience is essential and a formal qualification in Horticulture would be a distinct advantage.
Duties could include but are not limited to such tasks as mowing lawns, leaf collection, pruning, weeding, strimming, and hedge cutting.
Work hours are from 08:00 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. five days a week. Full uniforms are also provided including work safety boots.
Generous holiday allowance is given including the American Bank Holidays, plus British Bank Holidays, Pension Scheme, Private Health Care, and a competitive salary.
