Summary
Tuition Opportunity - Year 10 (Fordingbridge Area)
We are currently seeking an experienced and compassionate tutor to provide 1:1 face‑to‑face support for a Year 10 pupil in Fordingbridge.
Subjects
- English
- Maths
Hours & Duration
- 15 hours per week
- Monday to Friday
- 12‑week placement
- Face‑to‑face tuition only
Pupil Background
The learner presents with SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) needs.
They have a history of significant developmental trauma, which may impact:
- Emotion regulation
- Attention
- Working memory
- Flexible thinking
- Executive functioning
- Self‑control
We are seeking a tutor who can provide patience, structure, and consistency, and who can build a positive, trusting relationship while supporting academic progress.
Tutor Requirements
- Male or female tutors welcome - no preference
- At least 6 months experience working in UK schools and good understanding of the curriculum.
- Experience with SEMH or trauma‑informed practice is highly desirable
- Ability to adapt teaching approaches to meet individual needs
- Confident working independently with a young person
