In this full-time position, you will work closely with our experienced Nursery Managers and Practitioners to create a nurturing, stimulating, and inclusive environment that fosters the growth and learning of our young charges. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, assisting with the planning and implementation of engaging activities, providing attentive and compassionate care, and ensuring a safe and clean nursery setting.
The successful candidate will possess a CACHE Level 3 qualification in Childcare and Education, or an equivalent, and have a genuine passion for working with children. You should have a strong understanding of child development, the ability to adapt your approach to meet the unique needs of each child, and a commitment to upholding the highest standards of safeguarding and child protection.
As a Nursery Assistant, you will be responsible for supporting the Nursery Practitioners in delivering a stimulating and well-rounded curriculum that aligns with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework. This may involve leading small group activities, supporting individual children with their learning and development, and collaborating with the wider team to ensure a cohesive and consistent approach.
In addition to your core duties, you will also be expected to maintain accurate records, communicate effectively with parents and carers, and participate in staff meetings and training opportunities to continuously improve your skills and knowledge.
