What skills and experience we're looking for
St. Cuthbert’s RC High School are currently seeking a Lunchtime Organiser. This is an exciting opportunity to join the school at the beginning of a journey of transition, development, and growth within the multi-academy trust.
The Lunchtime Supervisor will be responsible for ensuring the safety, welfare and positive conduct of pupils during the midday break. Duties include supervising indoor and outdoor play, organising appropriate activities, overseeing dining arrangements and promoting good hygiene and table manners. The role involves supporting school behaviour expectations, being mindful of pupils’ individual and special educational needs, attending to minor first aid in line with school procedures, and working closely with teaching staff and the Senior Lunchtime Organiser. A commitment to confidentiality, safeguarding and the Catholic ethos of the school is essential.
We are seeking an individual who has:
An understanding and ability to build positive working relationships with pupils and colleagues. The successful candidate will engage confidently with pupils in the playground and dining areas and will ideally have experience of working with or caring for children within a relevant age range.
The role requires the ability to make simple records of incidents and accidents, support the medical and hygiene care of pupils and carry out practical tasks such as lifting and carrying equipment. Candidates must be flexible and willing to work in any area of the school during their hours of duty.
We are looking for someone who can promote a positive ethos, act as a role model and demonstrate high expectations of all pupils, showing respect for their social, cultural, linguistic, religious and ethnic backgrounds. A commitment to supporting pupils’ development as learners, promoting positive behaviour and values, including working with dedication and flexibility which is essential in this role.
Applicants must demonstrate a strong commitment to safeguarding, equality, diversity and promoting the welfare of children and young people.

• A commitment to relevant, personalised Continuous Professional Development.
