An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and highly motivated Healthcare Support Workers to join our Emergency Medicine Division as part of the Transfer Team.

In this role, you will support patient flow by assisting clinical staff with the safe and timely transfer of patients across the hospital.

You will also work closely with the multidisciplinary team, providing practical support and undertaking a variety of tasks as required.

We are looking for a caring, proactive individual who can demonstrate a positive, can-do attitude in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, while consistently delivering high standards of patient care.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential, along with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.

The post holder will be responsible with establishing and upholding high standards of holistic care, ensuring these standards are consistently monitored and adjusted as needs.

This includes fostering professional relationships with colleagues within the multi-disciplinary team and external agencies to enhance collaborative efforts across various wards, departments, and hospitals.

Shifts will cover 7 days per week, Monday to Sunday, days, nights and Bank Holidays.We cannot accommodate set shift patterns, day or night only shifts. If you are unable to commit to the working pattern, as detailed above, we would suggest that you apply to join NHS Professionals.

To assist Senior staff in transfers in and out the department and assist in meeting targets set by the trust

To liaise with the multi- professional team to provide and appropriate, co- ordinate service to patients.

To act as a role model

Undertake duties outside your working area (e.g. delivery and collection) to assist in maintaining good communication

The post holder will be required to play an integral role in the delivery of basic clinical care and will work in support of registered nurses, doctors and allied health professionals.

The post holder will actively participate as part of the multi disciplinary team providing a seamless service to patients under the supervision of a registered nurse/ practitioner

The post holder will be expected to complete ward transfers in a timely manner.
Carry out limited range of clinical duties for example; blood pressure monitoring, oxygen saturation levels, temperature checks, pulse rate checks and respiration rate, glucose monitoring, collection and testing of urine samples, collection of faecal samples, sputum samples, wound samples, removal of peripheral cannula, maintenance of patient hygiene, washing/bathing, mouthcare, feeding and ensuring deliver of high quality patient care at all times.
