We are looking for a reliable and conscientious Field Service Engineer to service and maintain equipment for our care home customers. The equipment we typically service includes hoists, slings, profiling beds and bath lifts.

Location: Reading
Salary: £28,000 per year
Key responsibilities
Our Field Service Engineers are a crucial part of the outstanding service we provide. You will need the ability to learn how to service and maintain equipment in customers’ premises as well as the practical skills to undertake LOLER tests, maintenance and repairs in nursing and residential homes.
You will:
Service and repair mobility equipment including hoists, slings, profiling beds and bath lifts
Travel to customers and perform handovers and repairs at care homes and private residences, usually on your own
Set up new equipment at our premises in advance of delivering them to customers
Provide exceptional service to customers by repairing and servicing equipment in a pleasant and confident manner with good communication skills
Complete all necessary paperwork and forms without errors or omissions
Occasionally assist with tasks in the warehouse or with deliveries
Your skills:
Full Driving Licence with at least 2 years safe driving experience
The ability to learn how to service and maintain equipment.
Previous experience in an electrical or mechanical position would be advantageous but is not essential.
A practical approach and logical mind
The ability to lift and move equipment
Excellent customer service skills
The ability to work independently and on your own
A conscientious demeanour and thoroughness with paperwork
Punctual, presentable and polite

Working hours are Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5pm. Overtime may be needed during busy periods or when covering holiday or emergency call-outs.
