Summary

General Worker (Factory Operative)

Industry: Manufacturing

Location: Ryde, Isle of Wight

Hours: 38 hours per week

Days: Monday - Friday

Duration: Permanent

Duties:

Supporting operations within manufacturing departments including:
Take incoming goods and materials, quality check and update computerised stock control system.
Search and locate requested stock items, supply to the shop floor.
Pick items and move materials and products around the factory using pallet trucks and by hand.
Move packaged products to delivery area and load onto delivery vehicles.
Ensure adherence to schedules, health and safety and quality standards.

Experience:

Must have previously worked with metallic materials within a manufacturing, mechanical or engineering environment.
Must be able to undertake manual handling duties and follow instructions.
Must have good communications skills and work well as part of a team.
Must have a basic level of computer literacy and good organisational skills.

Salary: £13.00 per hour worked
