Summary

We're looking for a Senior Site Manager to join our construction team based in North West - Manchester.

Location: North West - Manchester Hours: 42.5 hours per week - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us.

As a Senior Site Manager, you'll play a vital role in our construction team, ensuring safe and high-quality delivery of projects. You'll lead site operations, collaborate with diverse teams, and use your expertise to solve technical challenges while maintaining Kier's exceptional standards. This role is ideal for someone who is currently an experienced Senior Site Manager but has ambition to progress toward project manager in the future.



Initially the role will initially be aligned with an education project in Bury where they will take day to day lead on site operations delivering remedial works.



What will you be responsible for?

As a Senior Site Manager, you'll be working within the construction team, supporting them in delivering projects safely and efficiently. Your day to day will include:

-Ensuring safe delivery of construction activities through effective supervision of sub-contractors and Kier staff

-Maintaining quality standards and coordinating site logistics while monitoring progress against programme

-Reviewing risk assessments and method statements to ensure safe working practices

-Finding creative solutions to technical and logistical challenges that arise on site

-Developing and supporting junior team members while acting as a key point of contact

What are we looking for?

This role of Senior Site Manager is great for you if:

-You have experience in a similar role within the construction industry, particularly in a Main Contracting environment

-You possess excellent communication and relationship-building skills with the ability to collaborate effectively

-You demonstrate a strong understanding of safe site operations and technical knowledge of construction packages

-You hold relevant qualifications including SMSTS, CSCS card, and First Aid certification

-You thrive in a collaborative environment and enjoy mentoring others
