We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed Team Manager within an Integrated Neighbourhood Team. As a registered Social Worker with Social Work England, you will be responsible for promoting Blackburn with Darwen’s vision, objectives, and priorities effectively to our staff, partners, and the public. You will have excellent communication and organisational skills alongside ensuring that the residents of Blackburn with Darwen are empowered to make a meaningful change.



This role will be an integral part of the management team working collaboratively with colleagues across the local authority departments and with our health partners leading the vision, transformation, and strategic direction of the Council.



As a Team Manager you will provide leadership for the Intermediate Tier service in Blackburn with Darwen; with the overarching aims:

Able to demonstrate the high level of knowledge and skills required to:



Support the Council’s vision and corporate objectives.
Effectively manage the significant day to day challenges of the role.
Achieve continuous improvement in performance, encouraging innovation and appropriate challenges to the status quo.
Maintain a strengths-based culture, which is person centred, commands the confidence of commissioners and customers, and promotes multi-disciplinary and cross organisational working
Ensure a strong resident focus with clear emphasis on the importance of relationships those we support.



In your position as Team Manager of an Integrated Neighbourhood Team you will offer leadership to the local authority social workers and assessment and review officers. Providing professional oversight, supervision, advice, and support in the management of the team. You will understand the value and importance of integrated working with partner agencies in delivering support and protection to individuals, carers, and their families.
