Summary

South Woodham Ferrers is one Chelmsford City Council’s four leisure facilities, offering a wide range of sporting and leisure activities to the local community. Our centres are fast paced, customer focused environments where every member of staff plays an important role as part of a supportive and dynamic team.


We are looking for a friendly and approachable person to work as part on a team within the pools complex. The applicant must be a confident communicator, have excellent customer care skills and hold the National Pool Lifeguard qualification.


The successful applicant will be responsible for ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all swimming pool users, as well as maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the pools complex and other areas of the centre.


In addition, they will be required to act as Duty Manager to cover annual leave and sickness. In this role, you will oversee the day-to-day operation of the Centre, ensuring it is clean, safe, well maintained and compliant with brand standards at all times. The post holder will support all departments and ensure adequate staffing levels are in place to deliver a high-quality service.


This is a full-time position, working 37 hours as part of a roster pattern. Shifts will cover the centres opening hours of 6.00am to 10.00pm, including weekends and bank holidays.
