The Opportunity
WF Tech is recruiting a Production Planning Manager on behalf of a well-established precision engineering manufacturer based in Aldershot. This is a key onsite role within a high-performing manufacturing environment, supporting complex production schedules and demanding customer requirements.
The successful candidate will play a central role in coordinating production planning activities, optimising output, and supporting continuous improvement across the operation.
Key Responsibilities
⦠Develop, manage, and maintain production schedules to meet customer demand and operational targets
⦠Coordinate with Purchasing to ensure timely availability of materials and components
⦠Monitor production progress and adjust plans to mitigate risks, delays, or constraints
⦠Work closely with Quality to ensure all products meet required standards
⦠Analyse production data and generate reports to support continuous improvement, including SIOP and load & capacity analysis
⦠Implement, maintain, and improve production planning systems and tools
⦠Communicate production plans clearly across departments and stakeholders
⦠Optimise production output in collaboration with Production Planners, Managers, and Coordinators
⦠Support additional operational activities as required
⦠Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations and company policies
Skills, Qualifications & Experience
⦠Degree in Production Management, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent relevant experience
⦠Proven experience in production planning and scheduling within a manufacturing environment
⦠Aerospace industry experience highly desirable
⦠Strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles
⦠CPIM or similar certification advantageous
⦠Excellent analytical and problem-solving capability
⦠Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
⦠Confident using production planning software and tools
⦠Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
⦠Highly organised with strong time management skills
Working Hours
Monday – Thursday: 06:30 – 15:15
⦠Breaks: 09:30–10:00 and 12:30–13:00
Friday: 06:00 – 13:00
⦠Break: 09:30–09:50
Holiday
⦠33 days per year, including bank holidays
