KPi Education is working in partnership with a specialist provision in Southall to recruit a dedicated Speech and Language Therapist to join their SEN support team.

The Role – Speech and Language Therapist

In this role, you will:

• Carry out speech, language, and communication assessments for children and young people
• Design and deliver individualised SaLT intervention programmes aligned with EHCP targets
• Support pupils with speech sound difficulties, developmental language disorder, social communication needs, and ASD-related communication challenges
• Deliver 1:1 and small-group therapy sessions
• Produce high-quality reports, therapy plans, and progress updates
• Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, therapists, and pastoral staff
• Provide guidance and modelling strategies to staff to embed communication support across the school
• Contribute to EHCP reviews and multi-disciplinary meetings
• Maintain accurate clinical records in line with professional standards

• Autism (ASC)
• Developmental Language Disorder (DLD)
• Speech sound and communication needs
• SEMH and learning difficulties
• Complex and neurodivergent profiles

Person Specification

Essential:

• Degree in Speech and Language Therapy
HCPC registration (mandatory)
• Experience working with children and/or young people
• Confidence in assessment, intervention planning, and report writing
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work independently within a school or SEN setting
• Commitment to safeguarding and inclusive practice

Desirable:

• Experience within an SEN or education setting
• Experience supporting autistic and neurodivergent learners
• Knowledge of evidence-based SaLT interventions
• Experience contributing to EHCP outcomes
