Full-Time | Immediate Start
Our supply agency is currently recruiting an experienced and passionate SEND Teacher for a full-time role, starting immediately, within a specialist education setting.
This position involves teaching 8 learners who are on an independent living pathway, supporting them to develop the academic, functional, and life skills needed for adulthood.
The Role:
- Deliver engaging, well-structured lessons tailored to learners with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)
- Plan and adapt learning to meet a wide range of individual needs and EHCP outcomes
- Teach a curriculum focused on independent living skills, including communication, employability, personal development, and functional learning
- Manage a small class of 8 learners, supported by additional staff
- Track progress and contribute to assessments and reviews
- Create a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) or equivalent
- Proven experience working with SEND learners
- Strong planning and differentiation skills
- Understanding of independent living or life skills pathways (desirable)
- Ability to build positive relationships with learners and support staff
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
