Long Term Role (Temp to Perm)
We are recruiting a confident and resilient Behaviour Mentor to join a secondary school in Westminster, supporting students across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 who present behavioural challenges and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
This is a long-term, temp-to-perm opportunity for someone experienced in behaviour support who is passionate about helping young people regulate emotions, improve conduct, and re-engage with learning in a structured secondary school environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 and small-group behaviour and SEMH support across KS3 and KS4
- Support students with in-school behaviour, emotional regulation and engagement
- Implement behaviour support plans and restorative approaches
- Work closely with pastoral teams, SEN staff and teaching staff
- Support pupils during lessons, interventions and unstructured times
- Promote positive behaviour, resilience and inclusion
Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Experience supporting students with behaviour and/or SEMH needs
- Confidence working in a secondary school setting
- A calm, consistent and resilient approach
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Understanding of safeguarding and behaviour management strategies
- Background in SEN, youth work, mentoring or pastoral roles (desirable)
