Summary

Two PAs are required to work 2:1 with an active 9yr old boy.

He likes to go swimming and to go on the swings at the park. He likes soft play and going to Big Fun. He enjoys playing with sand, water and anything sensory. He enjoys physical activity and wants to be doing things rather than sitting still.

The PAs will be needed to take him out to appropriate locations that mum will identify and keep him busy and engaged.

He will need supervision at all times and it will be part of the PAs role to keep him safe. He will also need to have his hand held or be on reins when outside the home as he has a tendency to run when he sees something he wants such as snacks; he loves snacks. He needs consistent messages, if he’s told consistently, he listens more.

He does need support with personal care and will need to be accompanied to the toilet. He can use the toilet unaided, but does need some support. He will make the PAs aware that he wants to go by touching his trousers or showing them his toilet picture.

The PAs will need to be fit and active.

Owing to the nature of this position, any offer of employment will be subject to a satisfactory checking report from the Disclosure and Barring Service, the cost of which will be met by the local authority.
