Join our mission to inspire and empower learners and make a lasting impact on their lives.

At Pivot we believe children deserve better. Every day our teams do incredible work, making a huge difference to some complex and challenging children, many of whom come to us with some traumatic backgrounds.

Leeds Pivot are an independent special school operating over four sites in very close proximity. Our curriculum offer is focused on developing the whole learner, working with their interests to engage them in education. This is for them to feel successful and to take positive steps in their journey to adulthood and beyond. We have a variety of offers and pathways to meet the needs for learners with Autism, complex social interaction needs, emotional challenges and other learning needs.
We are currently seeking a Careers Advisor to champion and embed careers information and guidance within our academy. We are looking for a candidate who has experience of working with young people with complex needs, who can engage and inspire.

This is an exciting role at Pivot, giving candidates the chance to ensure all our learners are prepared for future success in education, employment, or training, with particular attention to those with SEN and SEMH needs. You will work collaboratively with staff, parents/carers and external partners to deliver an ambitious, inclusive careers programme that prepares all learners for their next steps. The desirable candidate will have experience in a similar role and knowledge of education, training and career opportunities available to learners post 16.

Working at Pivot will give you a real chance to change our student’s lives and we truly believe you will find working here a rewarding experience.

Don’t miss this opportunity, visit our website https://pivot-group.uk/ and apply now by completing an application form and returning to the HR team at recruitment@pivot-group.co.uk.

Closing Date: 12 February 2026

We are committed to safeguarding our young people and promoting the welfare of children and we expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. The successful candidate will be subject to an enhanced Disclosure Barring Service check and appropriate referencing.

During the shortlisting process, Pivot will carry out an online search on shortlisted candidates as part of its due diligence.
