Summary
We have an opportunity for Production Operative to join our brilliant client in their Sensors manufacturing department. The company are based in rural Cambridgeshire and close to Royston and due to the rural nature of the location, candidates must be able to drive to site. The role
Within this role you will learn and deliver products to a high standard. We are seeking someone with a high degree of manual ability as products need to be made with high precision, quality but also in a timely manner paying close attention to detail and care. Due to the size of components you will be required to have a very steady hand and be comfortable with working with small components and tools.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Following all Heath and Safety policies and requirements
• Stage 2, Final Assembly and test of all PID gas sensors variants via all the relevant processes
• Data input on spread sheets and databases
• Maintain sensor production information through Microsoft Applications
• Where necessary, assist with service/ maintenance of equipment
• Monitor gas supplies and recommend when low for re-ordering
• Undertake stock checks and support any investigations
• Under guidelines from the Team Leader, fulfil requirements required for the working day
• Attend internal meetings as required
• Maintain a clean and tidy work area
• Assisting other departments as required
• Flexible to do overtime if needed
• Work effectively with team members, management teams and other key members to ensure delivery of production targets and customer demand
• Minimise waste control costs
The Person
This is a hands-on role where we are seeking someone with the following skills and attributes
• Excellent dexterity working with small and delicate components
• Proficient with IT and MS Office
• Astute learning skills
• Excellent Team Player and able to build a rapport with internal departments
• Possess a high initiative and excellent levels of attention to detail
• Strong problem-solving skills with a flexible approach and strong work ethic

This role is offered on a Full-time, permanent basis. The salary offered is depending on experience and offers benefits.
