Summary
The Growth Company (GC) Education and Skills team is on the lookout for a friendly, hands on Catering Service Assistant to join their busy kitchen, supporting food preparation and delivering great service to customers.
This is a 12‑month fixed‑term contract to cover maternity leave. The role is based full‑time at the Trafford Park Skills Centre, with working hours of 7am to 3pm.

Key Responsibilities:
Assist with food preparation under the direction of the chef.
Maintain high standards of cleanliness across all kitchen and catering areas.
Adhere to all food hygiene, health, and safety regulations.
Provide flexible support to meet the operational needs of the service.
Receive, check, and store deliveries in accordance with company procedures.
Serve food and beverages to a professional standard, demonstrating strong product knowledge.
Keep all areas clean and tidy, including supporting with dishwashing duties.
Engage in training, undertake additional tasks as required, and work at Warren Bruce Court when needed.
About you:
Some experience or an understanding of working in a catering environment is beneficial, however full training will be provided.
Strong teamwork skills and a positive, cooperative attitude when working with colleagues.
A flexible approach, with the ability to adapt to changing service requirements.
A commitment to maintaining a professional manner and contributing to consistently high service standards.
Skills Required:
Basic food handler’s certificate or willingness to obtain one.
Consistently high food safety and hygiene standards.
Strong communication skills when dealing with customers and colleagues.
Dependable, reliable, and willing to take responsibility, including supporting colleagues when needed.
Flexible approach to carrying out additional duties as reasonably required by the company.
