Location: NR19, DerehamDetails:I am a friendly, easy going lady who is a manual wheelchair user due to having scoliosis who also suffers from anxiety and depression. However I enjoy company and love to go out shopping. I need a personal assistant to accompany me on social outings such as shopping, going to coffee shops, walks and occasionally support when attending medical appointments. I have a pet cat.Person specification:Listed below are the skills, competencies and qualities that are essential and desirable for the post. My assessment of these, both on application and at interview, will be the main factor in determining if you are successful. Please refer to these when submitting your application.Essential:* Good communication skills.
* Well organised.
* Calm and not easily frustrated.
* Consistent and reliable.
* Must like cats.
* Able to push wheelchair.
Summary terms and conditions:* Rate of pay for this position is £12.38 per hour for employed PA and £14.94 for self-employed PA.You will be reimbursed for any agreed expenses incurred as part of the role.* Hours and times of work: 4 hours per week, split as 2 hours on Mondays and 2 on Thursdays; between 09:00-11:00, potential for additional hours covering holiday/sick leave.* Annual holiday entitlement for this position will be equivalent to the work I would normally expect to be done during 5.6 consecutive weeks.Post is subject to the following:* A satisfactory enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check, the cost of which will be covered by the employer.
* Satisfactory references from two referees, one of which must be your current or last employer.* Completion of a satisfactory probationary period of 6 months.
