Summary
AC Service & Maintenance Supervisor - £55/60K
My client is a specialist mechanical contractor working within the construction industry who have been established since the early 2000’s. They design, supply, install, service & maintain air conditioning, heating & ventilation systems to commercial buildings.
Based in Hertfordshire they currently employ 30 people across the business and are seeking an AC supervisor to lead a team.
The position requires a Senior Air Conditioning engineer that can complete maintenance, diagnostic and remedial operations to a high standard with a good advanced knowledge of AC equipment, DX and chilled water, AHU’s and chillers.
Duties:
The Senior AC Engineer will be required to perform the following:-
➢ Provide technical support to the field engineers
➢ Provide support with regards to surveys and running small projects (subcontractors)
➢ Provide maintenance, inspection and repair services to air conditioning / ventilation / refrigeration / cooling systems
➢ Complete PPM, AHU, VRVs, split systems plus fan coil units
➢ Maintain and manage the records for all HVAC kit on site and provide a monitoring service for the critical maintenance schedules including F-Gas records
➢ Liaise with electrical, building services and BMS teams, providing overlap where required
➢ Assist with general ad-hoc maintenance tasks if and when required
Requirements:
➢ Experience managing a small team of AC Engineers
➢ At least 10 years experience of PPM’s and reactive works with requiste qualifications including NVQ & F-gas
➢ Experience of dealing with all AC systems from split type units to VRV (Daikin & Mitsubishi)
➢ Experience working with AHU’s
➢ Experience working with Heat recovery units
➢ Experience working with 4 pipe fan coil units
➢ Electrical knowledge
➢ Plumbing knowledge
➢ IT literate and good record/data keeping skills
➢ Pro active attitude
➢ Highly articulate and presentable with good customer facing skills
➢ Full clean driving licence
PACKAGE
Salary -£55/60k + (Depending on experience – includes travel time to within 50 miles)
Working Hours 08:00 – 17:00
Van/uniform/phone/tablet supplied
25 days holiday
On call rota 1 in 10 £100 standby
Plenty of overtime available
