What skills and experience we're looking for
Shoreline Academy is seeking an inspirational and committed Vice Principal to support the Principal in leading the academy and securing excellent outcomes for all pupils. This is a key leadership role for an ambitious professional who is passionate about education, improvement and inclusive practice.
The Vice Principal will work closely with the Principal and Senior Leadership Team to ensure the academy delivers a consistently high standard of education in line with statutory and Ofsted expectations. You will take responsibility for designated leadership areas, contributing to strategic planning and the day‑to‑day leadership of the academy, while playing an active role in driving continuous improvement.
Central to the role is the ability to embed Wave’s values, culture, policies and frameworks, creating an environment where pupils are supported to achieve their full potential and staff feel motivated, valued and empowered. You will lead by example with integrity, creativity and resilience, fostering a positive ethos where professional development and collaboration are actively encouraged.

Wave are an established and successful Multi Academy Trust, comprising of Alternative Provision Academies (APAs), Medical Academies (including Cornwall Partnership NHS Foundation Trust’s child and adolescent mental health unit ‘Sowenna’) and a Special Academy.
We provide education for vulnerable pupils aged 4 – 19 across Devon and Cornwall. The Trust has a national reputation for the delivery of outstanding pupil outcomes including enabling pupils to access the most appropriate education setting and transition to employment, training and higher or further education. The Trust educates over 1000 pupils and employs over 350 members of staff.

• Provide a balanced and broad curriculum that promotes the spiritual, moral, cultural, mental and physical development of pupils and prepares them for the opportunities, responsibilities and experiences of adult life.
