What skills and experience we're looking for
We are seeking to appoint a well-qualified, enthusiastic, highly motivated and committed Physics teacher to join the Science, PE & Dance faculty. The Science department is highly-successful, well resourced and strives to make the subject interesting and relevant for all our pupils. The faculty currently consists of both full and part-time experienced specialist teaching staff. At present Year 7 and 8 are taught in mixed ability groups and start their GCSE courses in Year 9.
Principal Accountabilities:
Provide high quality teaching and learning experiences for pupils. Fulfil the role of Personal Tutor to students.
Teaching and Learning
Teach all Sciences at key stage 3 and Physics at key stage 4 Monitor data and identify emerging needs from student data Consistently deliver well-planned lessons that achieve high outcomes Liaise with students, staff and parents as required to ensure high standards As a form tutor, support the personal development of pupils Manage behaviour effectively of children within classrooms and around the school Understand and fulfil the requirements of school policies Support the departmental pupil premium and more able strategies Support in transition from Key stage 2 and post 16 options
