Summary

What skills and experience we're looking for

The Governors will select a candidate according to how well they meet this person specification:

The successful candidate will:

-Hold Qualified Teacher Status

-Be able to demonstrate very good classroom practice

-Be prepared to teach across the primary age range from 3 – 11

-Be prepared to teach all curriculum subjects

-Have subject leadership experience

-Show an in depth understanding of the conditions which promote effective teaching and learning

-Have effective strategies for promoting good behaviour and addressing poor behaviour

-Be able to establish positive relationships with children quickly

-Have high expectations for the children to ensure that they make very good progress

-Be able to meet the differing needs of the children in the class

-Demonstrate a commitment to the principles of equal opportunities

-Have very good communication skills, being able to communicate quickly and effectively with other teachers

-Have a positive and flexible attitude to help them meet the needs of the post

-Have the desire to react on their practice and improve on it;

-Have good time management skills and strategies;

-Have a sense of humour

-Be prepared to contribute to the extra-curricular life of the school

-Understand how to make the national curriculum exciting for the children

-Be sympathetic to the Christian ethos of the school

-Have a good understanding of issues regarding the safe guarding of children.
