Your new opportunity
At Quarriers Carer Support Service (Moray), our aim is to improve the wellbeing of unpaid carers of all ages throughout Moray, to enable them to continue in their caring role, where appropriate, and support them to have a life of their own.
We are on the lookout for two part time Family Wellbeing Workers to join our team As a key support you will enable carers to identify the information, advice and activities necessary to help them manage the impact of their role, have breaks from caring, and ensure they maintain a life of their own. . You will also work closely with other providers and agencies to create appropriate opportunities for carers to relax, learn and benefit from strong networks of support.
Working pattern: We have 2 part time opportunities available offering 18.5 hours per week. Usual working hours are 9am to 5pm but you may be required (on occasion and pre-arranged) to work outside those hours to meet the needs of service delivery.
Other duties will include:
Managing referrals, assessment and support processes for carers.
Enabling wellbeing and support programmes for individuals and families.
Facilitating inclusive opportunities to deliver a carer voice within Moray
What you will need to bring to the role
Reliability, flexibility and a positive attitude
Ability to build trusting long-lasting relationships
Empathy and excellent communication skills
Excellent team player
Ability to apply transferable life experience and skills to support and enable individuals.
It is essential for the successful candidate to have access to a car as a level of travel will be required across a geographical remit.
