Summary

We're looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join our KierBAM team based in Plymouth.

Location: Plymouth, Devonport Royal Dockyard - remote working available, with occasional travel to the office required.

Hours: 42.5 hours per week - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us.

Due to the sensitive nature of the site, BPSS security clearance is required. Please note that this process can take up to 8 weeks.

Are you ready to join our collaborative team working on an exciting redevelopment project at a Royal Navy site in Plymouth? As a Quantity Surveyor with KierBAM, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the commercial success of this significant project while working alongside supportive professionals in a positive environment.

What will you be responsible for?As a Quantity Surveyor, you'll be working within the KierBAM Joint Venture team, supporting them in delivering financial excellence on this important redevelopment project. Your day to day will include:

-Managing commercial performance including financial forecasting, maximising cash flow, and ensuring payments are processed efficiently

-Preparing monthly cost reports and thoughtfully analysing trends with the wider contract team

-Building positive relationships with subcontractors, including procurement, negotiation, and account management

-Implementing contract change control procedures and communicating effectively with clients

-Identifying and mitigating commercial risks while ensuring compliance with Kier Group's risk management policies

What are we looking for?This role of Quantity Surveyor is great for you if:

-You hold relevant qualifications in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management (HNC, BSc, MSc), with professional accreditation (RICS, ICE) being advantageous

-You're experienced with NEC contracts and comfortable using systems like CEMAR, Coins or Causeway

-You thrive as a collaborative team player who enjoys nurturing relationships within diverse teams

-You have excellent organisational skills with a talent for clear communication, both written and verbal

-You're proficient with MS Office, particularly Excel, and can confidently manage data with precision
