Location: Redhill, Surrey

Position: Full-Time, Temporary

Salary: £90 - £95 per day

The Opportunity

Are you an empathetic and dedicated Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding 1:1 role?

We are seeking a patient and compassionate individual to join our specialist SEN school in Redhill, specifically supporting our primary-aged pupils. This is a unique opportunity to provide focused, individual support to a young child, helping them navigate their early years of education in a nurturing environment tailored to their unique needs.

The Role

The core focus of this position is to support one primary-aged child across all areas of their development. You will be their consistent point of support, helping them build confidence and engage with the world around them.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Primary-Focused Support: Provide tailored 1:1 support throughout the school day, ensuring the child feels safe and supported.

  • Early Intervention: Implement the child's Education, Health and Care (EHC) plan, focusing on early social, emotional, and academic skills.

  • Creative Adaptation: Use play-based learning and sensory resources to make the curriculum accessible and engaging.

  • Collaborative Care: Work closely with the Class Teacher, SENCO, and parents to ensure a consistent approach to the child's development.

  • Emotional Support: Help the pupil navigate social situations and manage emotional regulation with patience and care.

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for a patient, resilient, and proactive professional who truly enjoys working with young children and understands the importance of early-years SEN support.

Requirements:

  • Primary Experience: Previous experience working with primary-aged children (EYFS, KS1, or KS2).

  • SEN Knowledge: Experience or understanding of needs such as Autism (ASD), ADHD, or developmental delays.

  • Patience & Energy: A proactive approach and the ability to keep young learners engaged.

  • Commitment: A passion for promoting inclusion and independence from an early age.

What We Offer
  • Daily Rate: £90 - £95 per day.

  • Specialist Setting: The chance to work in a nurturing, high-resource primary SEN school.

  • Supportive Team: Regular guidance from our SENCO and a friendly, collaborative team of educators.

  • Meaningful Work: The satisfaction of seeing a young child achieve their milestones because of your dedicated support.
