Location: SweetTree Home Care Services - Coleridge House, 1 Coleridge Gardens, London NW6 3QH
Contract: 37.5 per week, 5 days per week 9am-5pm (option for up to 2 days a week WFH after probation)
Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 per annum DOA
The Role:
As a Talent Acquisition Manager you will play a pivotal role in leading our recruitment efforts and ensuring the success of our care team. You will oversee a team of Talent Acquisition Coordinators, while personally spearheading our recruitment strategy to ensure the attainment of key performance indicators (KPIs) and fostering strong partnerships internally and externally. Your expertise will also be crucial in ensuring compliance with CQC regulations and employment law, ultimately supporting our mission to provide high-quality and safe care to our clients.
Principal Duties:
Develop and deliver a comprehensive recruitment and workforce planning strategy aligned to business growth and service demand
Forecast recruitment needs based on attrition trends, service expansion, and operational requirements
Ensure recruitment activity supports continuity of care and long-term workforce sustainability
Manage end-to-end recruitment for care and back-office roles, ensuring vacancies are filled efficiently and compliantly
Take responsibility for internal hiring, ensuring that the company’s culture and values are maintained and that internal talent is nurtured and developed
Monitor vacancy levels and candidate pipelines to ensure service needs are met
Support hiring managers with interview scheduling, decision-making, and candidate communication
Provide day-to-day guidance and support to Talent Acquisition Coordinators as well a leading, coaching and developing the team, monitoring performance measurements and development plans
Set clear goals and objectives, ensuring you provide assistance with setting priorities, managing workloads, and maintaining recruitment standards to ensure they are well equipped to meet and exceed recruitment targets
Maintain a deep understanding of CQC regulations, DBS, RTW and employment law, ensuring the recruitment process adheres to all relevant guidelines and standards
Maintain and update recruitment policies and procedures, ensuring they align with the latest industry standards and regulations, while fostering a culture of compliance and best practice in the recruitment process
Build effective working relationships with managers across the business, fostering relationships with all departments and stakeholders
Gain a clear understanding of staffing needs and challenges within services, acting as a point of contact for recruitment-related queries
Act as a strategic advisor to senior leaders on recruitment risks, trends, and solutions
Lead recruitment improvement projects to increase efficiency, quality and scalability
ATS Management: Oversee the company’s Applicant Tracking System (ATS), ensuring its optimal functionality and efficiency in managing the recruitment process
Regularly audit the recruitment department’s processes and procedures and related documents, identifying opportunities for improvement, implementing necessary changes as well as implementing strategies to reduce time-to-hire wherever possible
Manager budgets for job boards, advertising, and contracts with ATS and job boards, making informed decisions to maximise the return on investment
Ensure candidates receive a positive and professional experience throughout the recruitment journey
Continuously improve job adverts and attraction strategies to stand out in a competitive market
Attend and organise recruitment days, events and fairs to actively engage with potential candidates and showcase company’s opportunities
Build and strengthen our market presence across the community, job boards, and social media by fostering strategic partnerships with universities, local organisations, and other key stakeholders to enhance recruitment pipelines
Produce recruitment metrics and insights reports for directorship team
Use recruitment data and metrics to track performance, identify trends and overall optimise strategies to maximise returns use data to optimise job sources, time-to-hire, and improve quality of candidates
Person Specification:
A minimum of 3 years of experience working within recruitment, resourcing, talent acquisition, or human resources, with a track record of meeting and exceeding recruitment targets
Demonstrated experience leading, coaching and managing teams
Strong understanding of safer recruitment practices within health or social care (desirable)
In-depth knowledge of CQC regulations and employment law, ensuring compliance at all stages of the recruitment process
Strong leadership, organisational and communication skills – with the ability to inspire and develop a team
Willingness to learn, develop, and take on increasing responsibility
Confidence working with managers and internal stakeholders
High attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards in recruitment practices
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills as well as the capacity to adapt to changing circumstances and challenges
