Substantive
Full Time and Part Time hours available
Band 4- Salary Range £30,535 - £33,016 per annum (pro rata)
Distant Island Allowance of £2,482 per annum (pro rata for part-time & fixed term positions)
Do you have secretarial skills and experience, proficiency in Microsoft Office and Standard Grade or equivalent in English? Would you like to play a key role in our busy Medical Records team?
Duties are varied and include organising clinics and appointments, audio typing confidential correspondence and dealing with enquiries along with recording and collating patient information. Strong administrative and communication skills, together with the ability to work unsupervised and to tight deadlines are essential requirements. You should also be able to display empathy and a strong sense of patient focus.
You will be expected to comply with the Induction Standards and Code of Conduct for Healthcare Support Workers within 3 months of commencing your role – details can be viewed on http://www.hcswtoolkit.nes.scot.nhs.uk/resources/hcsw-standards-and-codes/
As from 01/04/2026, the Agenda for Change full-time working week will be reducing from 37 to 36 hours per week. Part time hours will be reduced pro-rata. However, there will be a corresponding increase in the hourly rate so that pay will not be affected.
