Summary
Are you an organised, proactive professional who thrives in a fast-paced, people-focused environment? We are looking for an ambitious Business Manager to work closely with the Executive Director, playing a key role in delivering outstanding racedays and events at our vibrant venue.
This is a varied, hands-on position offering real responsibility and the opportunity to make a visible impact. You’ll work across commercial, operational and event activity, collaborating with multiple teams to ensure every experience runs seamlessly from start to finish.
What you’ll be doing
Building and managing strong relationships with catering partners to deliver exceptional customer experiences
Overseeing the planning and delivery of non-catering events, including self-catered weddings and venue hire bookings
Supporting show rounds, engaging with customers and confidently handling on-site enquiries
Leading event and raceday operational setup alongside Operations and Catering teams
Providing support and occasional cover for the Hospitality & Events Manager
Developing trusted relationships with customers, sponsors, stakeholders and contractors
Ensuring facilities, staffing and services meet the highest presentation, safety and operational standards
Championing company values, health & safety compliance and best practice across the site
Coordinating event logistics including suppliers, security, signage, cleaning and costings for both raceday and non-raceday activity
What we’re looking for
At least 2 years’ experience in venue or operational management (racecourse or stadia experience is advantageous)
Confident communicator with strong stakeholder and relationship-management skills
Highly organised, with excellent planning and problem-solving abilities
Detail-driven, positive and collaborative, with a flexible, hands-on approach
