Summary

English Teacher – Flexible short-term and long-term opportunities available immediately
These flexible opportunities are ideal for teachers who enjoy variety and want to make a positive impact across different secondary school settings. You will be supporting schools across different environments, delivering English lessons as part of general supply cover.Duties as English Teacher:
  • Deliver engaging English lessons across Key Stages using provided plans
  • Plan and deliver lessons when required in longer-term placements
  • Encourage strong literacy, comprehension, and analytical skills
  • Assess, monitor, and record pupil progress where necessary
  • Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment
  • Manage behaviour effectively in line with school policies
  • Contribute to wider school life during extended placements
Ideal English Teacher:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Strong subject knowledge in English language and literature
  • Ability to motivate and inspire students of mixed abilities
  • Confident in managing classroom behaviour
  • Flexible and adaptable across a variety of school settings
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil welfare
