Overview
A welcoming family based in Dulwich is seeking an experienced Housekeeper Nanny to support their home and three children, including a newborn. This is a housekeeping-led role, with childcare responsibilities and a confident family-style cook who enjoys cooking for the whole family.
The family is looking for someone who is emotionally intuitive, communicates well and works comfortably alongside others, as the parents are often at home and mum is currently on maternity leave. The successful candidate will bring warmth, steadiness and a genuinely positive presence to a busy household. Confident family cooking is an important and expected part of the role.
Role Split
• Housekeeping to include cooking: approximately 70 -75%
• Childcare: approximately 20 -25%
Duties
Housekeeping & Family Cooking
• Daily housekeeping to maintain a clean, calm and well-organised family home
• Hoovering, tidying and general upkeep of all living areas
• Cleaning bathrooms and kitchen areas
• Family and children’s laundry, including washing, folding and putting away
• Tidying and organising children’s bedrooms and shared spaces
• Preparing healthy, home-cooked meals for the family
• Confidently cooking for children of different ages
• Batch cooking when time allows
• Cleaning the fridge, managing stock and updating shopping lists
Childcare
• Supporting two young children and a newborn
• School and nursery pick-ups on foot
• After-school care and activities
• Play, reading and support with daily routines
• Occasional short periods caring for the baby while a parent is with the older children
The Ideal Candidate
• An experienced Housekeeper Nanny with strong cooking and domestic skills
• A genuinely confident family cook who is happy to follow the family's food preferences
• Warm, calm and emotionally intelligent
• Proactive, organised and reliable
• Comfortable working alongside a parent at home
• Someone who contributes positively to the overall atmosphere of the household
Requirements
• Relevant private household experience
• First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain)
• Two recent, contactable professional references
