Tesco Property Maintenance are looking for hardworking and efficient Maintenance Technicians to join our growing Property Maintenance Team! At Tesco, our stores, distribution centres and offices couldn’t function without the support of our integral teams.

You will be responsible for

As a Maintenance Technician your specific responsibilities will encompass a wide range of tasks. To thrive in this role, you will need to:

  • Confidently Interact with External Contractors: Coordinating repairs seamlessly.
  • Work Collaboratively with the Team: Be a great colleague who understands the importance of quality service.
  • Sustain High Energy Levels: Juggling tasks while maintaining efficiency.
  • Assist the Management Team: Keeping our stores operating smoothly by maintaining equipment and facilities.
  • Minimize Customer Disruption: Coordinating repairs with minimal impact on our valued customers.

Responsibilities will include;

  • Ensuring all Tesco sites are a safe and functioning environment for customers and colleagues.
  • Following the planned work schedule to achieve first time fix, improving efficiency, and effectiveness.
  • Working closely with team members, sharing best practice and knowledge.
  • General day to day store and property maintenance.
  • Using mobile devices; phone and tablet, to drive the best approach in work completion and updates.
  • Representing the Tesco brand by demonstrating our core values (serving our customers, communities and planet a little better every day), maintaining a positive attitude & taking pride in wearing the Tesco uniform.
  • Attending local and national meetings, providing valuable input and feedback.
  • Supporting a diverse and inclusive culture.

You will need

An experienced Electrical Biased Maintenance/Automation Engineer, ideally from a warehouse/logistics background as well as:

  • A recognized qualification in Electrical Engineering.
  • An understanding in Electrical Systems.
  • Proficiency in automation/heavy industrial engineering environments.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • A detail-oriented mindset with a focus on quality and efficiency.
  • Ability to work on your own or as part of a wider team.
