Isabella’s Homes is expanding, and we’re looking for a skilled and enthusiastic Maintenance All‑rounder (Electrician) to join our Estates & Facilities team. This is a hands-on, practical role supporting multiple supported living sites across the West Midlands, including Birmingham, Dudley, Wolverhampton, Warwickshire, and Cannock.

The Role
As a Maintenance All‑rounder (Electrician), you will ensure our buildings and services operate safely, efficiently, and reliably. Your responsibilities will include:

Diagnosing and repairing faults in electrical installations, plant, and equipment

Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM), reactive repairs, and minor installation works

Responding promptly to maintenance requests via our estates reporting system

Interpreting instructions, technical drawings, and specifications independently

Working collaboratively with other trades, contractors, and service teams

Operating and maintaining hand and power tools safely

Supporting small improvement works and capital projects

Assisting with lift safety procedures, including emergency release (training provided)

Participating in the emergency on-call rota

Travelling between multiple sites across the West Midlands

Person Specification
Essential Qualifications
Recognised and registered engineering apprenticeship (or equivalent experience)

NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds in Electrical Installation (or equivalent)

18th Edition Electrical Certificate

Essential Knowledge & Experience
Skilled experience in electrical maintenance and repair

Strong understanding of electrical distribution systems

Competence in fault finding, diagnostics, and problem-solving

Computer literate with good communication skills

Desirable Experience
Maintenance experience in hospitals, care homes, or supported living

Familiarity with PPM systems

Knowledge of Building Management Systems (BMS)

Understanding of control systems and technical standards

Essential Skills & Attributes
Strong practical, hands-on ability

Able to work independently and as part of a team

Responsible, proactive, and safety-focused

Full, clean UK driving licence

Ability to respond to call-outs

Desirable Attributes
Proactive in suggesting improvements

Flexible and comfortable with varied travel requirements

Other Requirements
Participation in the emergency on-call rota is essential

Appointment is subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check
