Job Advert

The Trust offers hybrid working, with staff splitting their time between offices, reserves, visitor centres and some remote work,
depending on their role.

About us:

Kent Wildlife Trust is the county’s leading conservation charity with more than 31,000 members and over 1000 registered
volunteers. We manage and protect over 9000 acres of land across more than 90 different sites and nature reserves, alongside 2
visitor centres. But we can’t save nature alone. So, we work closely with local communities, businesses, organisations and
individuals to protect and restore wildlife and wild spaces and create a wilder Kent for the benefit of people and the planet.

What you'll be doing:

We are looking for an enthusiastic and well organised Events & Audience Engagement Officer to support with the planning and
delivery of our events programme and associated marketing.

You will work closely with the Events & Experiences Manager to coordinate and deliver an ambitious, high-quality programme of
events and experiences. The role supports activity across public, member, corporate, fundraising and high-value supporter events,
ensuring they are well-planned, effectively promoted, and delivered to the highest standard.

This will include working on our regular programme of ticketed family events, guided walks and wildlife experiences, as well as
making bespoke arrangements for private bookings and corporate events. You will also work on a range of special opportunities for
our members and donors, such as tours and seasonal celebrations, and be involved with launch events and our annual Wilder Kent
Awards ceremony.

This role will focus on event coordination and administration, including gathering event information, creating event listings and
webpages, liaising with customers, and ensuring smooth communication with delivery teams. You will also assist with event setup,
provide on-the-day support where required, and supervise Education & Events Tutors and volunteers during activities.

You'll be involved in:

* Event Coordination and Administration – Working with colleagues across the organisation to produce an engaging and varied
calendar of events, and ensuring an excellent customer experience through communication with attendees.
* Event Delivery Support – Support with the set-up and operational running of events where required, and supervise event delivery
teams to ensure high standards of delivery.
* Communication and Collaboration – Work with marketing colleagues to effectively promote events and wider Kent Wildlife Trust
activity, including maintaining the events section of the website and producing content for social channels, adverts and email
newsletters.
* Systems and Reporting – Tracking and maintaining events records, including ticket sales and expenditure, and monitoring
communications performance, including reach, traffic and conversions.

What we need you to bring:

You are a positive, well organised and creative individual, with an enthusiasm for engaging a wide range of people with the work
of Kent Wildlife Trust through events and activities. You will thrive in this role if you:

* Enjoy working with people, with experience in a customer facing role, ideally including the delivery of events.
* Have experience in online communications, creating content and working within brand guidelines.
* Are a strong communicator, able to confidently engage colleagues, volunteers, the public and contractors.
* Have excellent attention to detail and strong organisational and administrative skills.
* Have a solution-focused mindset, allowing you to adapt quickly and positively for the best result.
* Have experience working with underrepresented groups and are committed to equity, diversity, inclusion, and justice.

If you are passionate about connecting people and nature, we want to hear from you. We welcome applications from all backgrounds
and experiences.

A DBS check will be required for this role.
