Hybrid – you’ll be expected to be in the office at least 3 days per week or 60% of your working time in the office.

The Department of Community and Children’s Services is focussed on improving the quality of life and wellbeing of our local population. Delivering the type of services and interventions that have the scope to transform the life outcomes of young people, our work is vital to countless families and individuals. And it is within this cutting-edge arena that you could find the most important challenge of your career.

Join us as a Performance Analyst, and you will have the opportunity to focus across all our areas of work including adults and children’s social care, early years, education and Special Educational Needs and Disabilities and housing. In a role that is both deeply interesting and fast-paced, you will provide intelligence that will determine the most important commissioning decisions, and influence how we deliver key programmes and projects. Collecting and interpreting data on a range of issues, you will deliver a range of statutory returns and provide specialist advice and insight for colleagues at all levels, seeing to it that the highest standards are being maintained – and in the process, you will support the young people who most need our help.

This is a role that will provide you with an unparalleled opportunity to develop your skills, while helping us monitor, benchmark and evaluate the quality of our services. You will therefore thrive here if you're a team player with excellent communication skills, and you are keen to carry out research and analysis that will shape community and children’s services. On a practical level you will have significant experience in providing specialist intelligence and analysis within a public policy setting. You will also have a good awareness of commissioning processes, plus strategy and policy development, performance evaluation, intervention design and procurement.

Part time hours can also be considered.

This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act and as part of the selection process the successful applicant will be required to obtain a Standard Disclosure & Barring Service check.

The City of London Corporation is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.

The City of London Corporation is currently undergoing a programme to ensure that our pay and reward practices are competitive and equitable across the whole organisation, to ensure that everyone has the opportunity to thrive in the work that we do.

In addition to a competitive salary and membership of the excellent Local Government Pension Scheme, you can look forward to an all-round package of life-improving benefits and offers – from interest-free season ticket and bicycle loans to discounts on health and wellbeing, arts and culture.
