Job Title: Support Worker – Day Service (Adults with Disabilities)

Location: Junction 52 – Penilee Community Centre, Glasgow, G52 4BD

Hours: 32.5 Hours per week | Monday – Friday (between 8.45am-4pm)

Salary: £21,351.33 (£12.60 per hour)

Contract: Permanent

About the Role – Support Worker

We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Support Worker to join our Day Service team in Glasgow. In this role, you will support adults with a range of disabilities and varying support needs. You will play a key part in promoting independence, wellbeing, and social inclusion within a safe, supportive, and engaging environment.

Key Responsibilities - Support Worker

Provide high-quality, person-centred support to adults with disabilities in a day service setting.
Assist individuals with daily activities, including personal care (where required), medication administration, mealtime assistance, and community outings.
Empower service users to develop life skills, confidence, and independence.
Encourage and facilitate participation in recreational, educational, and social activities.
Act as a designated Key Worker, maintaining accurate records and compiling robust risk assessments and care plans.
Work collaboratively with colleagues, families, and external healthcare professionals.
Promote safeguarding, dignity, choice, and respect at all times.
Requirements - Support Worker

A caring, patient, and reliable approach to support work.
Experience working with adults with disabilities is desirable, though not essential as full training is provided.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
The ability to work effectively both as part of a team and independently.
A full UK Driving Licence is desirable.
A willingness to undertake ongoing professional training and development.
Relevant qualifications (e.g., SVQ/NVQ in Health and Social Care) are an advantage.
Must be a member of (or willing to join) the PVG Scheme.
Must have the right to work in the UK, we are unfortunately unable to provide sponsorship for this role at this time.
