Summary

We have an exciting opportunity for a Lecturer in Electrical Power Engineering to join our team at Loughborough College Group, based at Loughborough College/Tipton.

We are recruiting a Lecturer in Electrical Power Engineering (Distribution and Transmission) to support the growth of our Engineering Apprenticeship provision.

You will be delivering motivating and inspiring training, learning and assessment on and off site as required to facilitate timely or relevant success of learners and provide a wide range of training solutions based on employer and learner needs.

This role will involve preparing and planning schemes of work, assessment plans and resources, as well as providing insightful and constructive feedback for learners and providing guidance and support to learners.

We’re looking for someone with experience in teaching engineering, who possess excellent planning, administration and organisational skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a cross-curricular team.

This is a fantastic opportunity to be involved with helping our learners to successfully complete their apprenticeship programmes across a apprenticeship programmes.

Responsibilities of this role include;

Managing a caseload of Engineering Apprentices and supporting them through to timely completion of their programme.
Delivering high‑quality training, assessment, and feedback in both workplace and classroom environments
Planning and preparing schemes of work, session plans, assessment activities, and learning resources.
What we are looking for;

Experience delivering training, assessment, or coaching within engineering, apprenticeships, or vocational education
Relevant industry qualifications and/or teaching, assessing, or IQA qualifications
Knowledge of apprenticeship standards, assessment practices, and quality assurance processes
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage caseloads, track progress, and meet compliance deadlines
