Due to growth in business our Vehicle Repair Team has an immediate opening for an ATA Vehicle Damage Assessor’s. Ideally you will have passed both parts of the ATA VDA course and have 2+ years’ work experience in the role.
Location: Home working (UK based)
Hours: 40 hours per week - Mon- Fri 0800 and 1700
Salary: £31,500.00 up-wards with negotiation based on experience
Responsibilities
Assessment & Documentation
- Complete computerised damage reviews and assessment approvals using Audatex.
- Ensure all assessment and repair information is accurately recorded in company systems.
- Gather all relevant details and produce required supporting documentation and reports.
Repair Management
- Communicate with repair shops to share damage information and agree repair completion timelines.
- Monitor vehicles throughout the repair process.
- Negotiate assessments with repair shops when required.
- Work with external assessors/engineers to help minimise repair costs.
- Oversee service and warranty repairs and maintain strong relationships with dealership service departments.
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Liaise with the Damage Recovery team and other internal departments as required.
- Work closely with the Remarketing team on salvage unit sales.
- Maintain relationships with manufacturer fleet departments.
- Discuss claim‑related issues directly with insurance company assessors.
Team Support
- Provide training to colleagues.
- Support team members as needed to ensure smooth department operations.

Qualifications
- Ability to multitask

- Analytical mind with great attention to detail
- Strong communication skills
- An ability to work well independently and make decisions
- Passed the ATA VDA course [ideally both parts]
- Strong PC skills and technical aptitude
- AQP and IAEA accreditations are desirable but not essential
Remote working requirements:
- A suitable home office environment free from noise and distractions
- A suitable desk and ergonomic chair
- An Enterprise laptop and VOIP telephone will be provided
- You must have internet access provided by a cable or DSL provider
- An ethernet Internet connection will be required for the VOIP telephone
- Minimum upload speed of (5.0 mbps) and Minimum download speed of (10.0 mbps)
- The successful employee must be based in the UK.
