Summary
There is a fantastic opportunity to join the Royal Orthopaedic Hospital Ward 3 team.
We are an elective Oncology Orthopaedic ward at the Royal Orthopaedic Hospital, if you believe you have all the skills to join our team, then please apply.
We are a 24 bedded ward, we have 3 side rooms dedicated to The Teenage Cancer Trust where we care for Young Adults age from 16-24. We are a specialist unit providing tailored care for patients who are referred from all over the country to our Orthopaedic Oncology Team. We work alongside many members of the multi-disciplinary team to provide our patients with individualised expert pre and post care for their bone cancer surgeries.
• Practice independently under the leadership of a registered nurse and be responsible and accountable for safe, compassionate, person centred care.
• Ensure a high standard of patient care is delivered in an effective and efficient manner, reflecting the values and ethos of The Royal Orthopaedic Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.
• Be responsible for assessing care needs of patients. Planning, implementation and the evaluation of these programmes without direct supervision.
• Nursing associates are equipped with the knowledge, understanding, skills, attitudes and behaviours relevant to employment as a nursing associate and will work to the NMC Code
and Standards for Nursing Associates
